This is the image and transcription to the 1861 Baptism of my 2nd great grand uncle Jose Demetrio Tanguma. It was through him that I found the grandparents of my great grandfather Juan Tanguma. As you can see it is always good to do research on all the family members, you never know what you will uncover.

A los tres dias del mes de Enero de mil ochocientos sesenta y uno yo el Presbitero Francisco G. Trevino vicario de esta Parroquia bautize solemnemente y puse los Santos oleos y crisma a Je. Demetrio de veintetres dias de nacido hijo lejitimo de Hipolito Tanguma y de Francisca Pena Abuelos Paternos Benito Tanguma y Clara Barrera Abuelos Maternos Santiago Pena y Ma. de Jesus Barrera fueron padrinos a quienes adverti el parentesco y espiritual obligaciones contraidas Wenceslao Martinez and Visenta Garcia y para que conste lo firme.
