Last Names of Nuevo Leon
Hello everyone, Esmeralda Reyna sent me this message through our facebook page. If anyone has any additional information please let her know by posting on the comment area.

I am looking for information on a Severiano Reyna that was born in Mexico and came to the United States sometime after 1931. He had a son out of wedlock in Irapuato, Mexico with a woman by the name of Francisca Witrago. The child’s name was Odilon Reyna. Odilon is my husbands dad. He died in 1960 in Plainview, Texas. If anyone has any information, I would appreciate hearing from you.

I gave her the following tip, it is along shot but you never know.

His death certificate indicates that he was born in Texas on 3-15-1933. If this information is wrong and he was born in Irapuato the Civil Registry for Guanajuato would be the place to look but unfortunately it only goes up to 1930 online. Irapuato baptisms for this year is online here https://familysearch.org/search/image/index#uri=https%3A%2F%2Ffamilysearch.org%2Frecords%2Fwaypoint%2F13962197%3Fcc%3D1860831 you might be able to find him there. Good luck. Let me know if I can post your comment on my blog since there might be a greater chance of someone finding it.

If anyone has any other suggestions please let us know.
