The following is the 1836 Church Marriage record for my 4th great grandparents Feliciano Guerra and Tomasa Gonzalez. Unfortunately this document does not indicate who their parents are but through other sources I have come to know that the parents of Feliciano are Antonio Maria Guerra and Maria Francisca Pineda. Tomasa parents are Jose Yrineo Gonzalez and Maria Paula Garcia. Feliciano and Tomasa are the parents of Gorgonio Guerra.

En esta Parroquia de la Villa de Mier a los veinte y cuatro dias delmes de Octubre de milochocientos treinta y seis. Yo el Prebto. Jose Ancelmo Fuentes, Cura into. de Esta Villa, haviendo procedido todas las diligs. que previene el [?] amonestados en tres dias festivos inter Misarum Solemnia, segun dispocision del Santo Concilio tredentino. que lo fueron los dias nueve, diez y seis, y veinte y tres de Octe. del precente ano y no haviendo resultado impedimio. algo. pasadas mas de las veinte y cuatro horas acostumbradas despues de la ultima amonestacion. Case y Vele infacie Ecclesia con concentimio. del Senor Br. Dn. Ponciano Jaurequi: Cura de dicha Villa que ha recibido el curato y libros. a Jose Feliciano Guerra con Ma. I’m a descendant of Dn. Manuel de Hinojosa who is my 7th great grandfather and Dn. Jose Francisco Antonio Guerra, as my 6th great grandfather. Both great grandfathers are through my mother’s side of the family. My maternal grandparents are Luciano Hinojosa and Elvira Guerra Gonzalez. Elvira is the daughter of Manuela Guerra Gonzalez and Librado Gonzalez. Elvira’s maternal grandfather Rafael Guerra Pineda is my 3rd great grandfather, as well Felicano’s brother. My grandfather Luciano’s 4th great grandparents are Manuel Angel Hinojosa and Juana Gertrudis iSanchez. Antonio Maria Guerra author of the book Mier en la Historia is my grandmother Elvira’s 1st cousin since Teodulo Guerra and Manuela are brother and sister. I see that we are related through both families the Guerra’s and the Hinojosa’s of old C.Mier.
We sure are related.
