“Genealogical Resources at the Brownsville City Cemetery Center” That is the title of the presentation that Mr. Gene Fernandez will present to the Rio Grande Valley Hispanic Genealogical Society next Sunday May 18, 2014 at 2:00 Pm. The presentation will be held at the Harlingen Public Library located at 410 76 Dr, Harlingen, TX 78550.
I usually tend to post notice of this meetings at the We Are Cousins group and Facebook Page but but I wanted to talk a bit of why you have to hear Mr. Fernandez.
Last year in early October I meet Mr. Fernandez “Branching Out: Genealogy Workshop 2013” held by the Brownsville Historical Association. His presentation was very informative and fun to hear. He was full of energy and portrayed his passion for preservation of historical documents and cemetery’s. He is a great speaker and a very charismatic person. I was very impressed at the genealogical holdings available at the City Cemetery Center. If you have not made up your mind about going to the presentation I highly recommend you do, you will have fun and also learn great deal about resources available to you to help you in your genealogy research.
