Last Names of Nuevo Leon

This is the July 14, 1711 Baptism of Josefa Antonia Cantu in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. She is my wife’s 6th great-grandmother.

She is the daughter of Joseph Cantu and Gertrudis de la Garza.

Josefa Antonia grew up and married Joseph Manuel de Ayala on July 28, 1732, in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. They had a marriage investigation done on May 2, 1732.

My wife is a descendant of her through her son Joseph Isidro de Ayala.  If you are a descendant of her please let me know so I can add you to my database.

    1. You are correct, I guess I posted the marriage investigation instead of the church marriage. Thanks for pointing this out. I already updated the post to reflect the correct dates.
