Last Names of Nuevo Leon

This is the September 7, 1734 death record of my 7th great grandfather Diego de Hinojosa. I found this death record at familysearch under Linares, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. It mentions that he was killed by indians at “La Ventana de conde, zierra de Tamaulipa”. He was married to Maria Ana Josefa de la Garza and his parents were Diego de Hinojosa and Josepha de la Garza. Where you find [?] it means I could not make out the word. If you know it let me know in the comments section of this blog post.

  1. Hola Moises.

Mundo pequeno..

  3. Hola Moises! Thank you for sharing your research. My 8th great grandfather Jose Jacinto Pena was one of the five men that died on that same day, he is the last one listed on the page. The entries for all the men that day say the same thing “en la Voca de …..” To me, it looks like borima or forima?

    1. Ms Rasmussen I hope you receive this message. I am related to Diego Hinojosa and Pedro Regalado Hinojosa. I am putting together a paper on the Hinojosa branch (Diego Hinojosa, Diego Hinojosa Montano, and Diego Hinojosa Cantu) and another paper on Jose Pedro Regalado Hinojosa de la Garza. I am very interested on your information on the 5 men that also died on the same day in the same Indian atrtack. Please contact me via email address so that we can share some information. Sincerely, Celso
