1709 Marriage of Rodrigo Martinez and Maria Rafaela Treviño in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico
Last Names of Nuevo Leon

This is the June 23, 1709 marriage of my wife's 7th great grandparents Rodrigo Martinez and Maria Rafaela Treviño in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico.

Unfortunately this record does not mention the names of their parents but form other records we know that the parents of Rodrigo are Joseph Xavier Ignacio Martinez and Ines de la Garza.

The parents of Maria Rafaela are Juan de Treviño and Nicolasa Escamilla.

What is great about this record is that it mentions that Rodrigo was the widow of Tomasa Gutierrez and that there as a marriage dispensation created in order to allow this marriage to take place.

These are the type of clues that lead you to more records, be on the look out for them.
