1725 Death Record of Catharina de Maya in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico
Last Names of Nuevo Leon

This is the October 28, 1725 death record of Catharina de Maya in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. Catharina is my 8th great grandmother.

In this record, It is indicated that she was married to General Francisco Beas de Treviño. It is also indicated that she left the power to her husband to make her will. I do not know if she left one but I will definitely look for it.

Through other records we know that her parents are Juan de Treviño and Ana de Maya. The parents of her husband are Francsico de Treviño and Luisa Benavides.

  1. According to my records, my ancestor is a sister of Catharina de Maya. The sister is Josefa TREVINO who married 28 December 1670 in Monterrey, NL, MX Capitan Alferez Bernabe Gonzalez HIdalgo. I do not have a birth date for Josefa. As a side note that may need clarifying from Crispin Rendon: He shows in my book the burial date of (Catalina) Catharina 6 Jul 1726 in Monterrey. Parents and husband info matches. Either Crispin has a typo or translation not quite accurate.

  2. Hi Moises! Thank you for sharing. I have added this document to my tree. As always, I appreciate the translation provided, since I don’t speak Spanish. Catharina DE MAYA and Francisco BAEZ DE TREVINO are one set of my husband’s 7th great-grandparents. He descends through their daughter Maria Gertrudis.
