If you missed the 39th Annual Conference there is still an opportunity to attend a genealogy conference in San Antonio. The 2018 Family History Conference hosted by the Texas State Genealogical Society will be taking place from November 2-4, 2018.
I already booked my room and also got a vendor table to promote my books, We Are Cousins, and also Las Villas del Norte. If you will be attending come over to my table to pick up your We Are Cousins badge or button if you are a member of Las Villas del Norte.
With that out of the way, let’s talk more about the conference.
2018 Family History Conference
The theme of this year’s conference is “Journey through Generations”. It will provide a wide variety of topics from many very well known family history experts and genealogists.
Two members of Las Villas del Norte Mary Esther Escobedo and Evan Christensen will be presenting presentations focused on Hispanic genealogy. There will also be other Hispanic related presenters but what I really like about the scheduled presentations is that there are several for beginners and also several focusing on DNA research.
The conference will be held at the Omni San Antonio Colonnade, 9281 Colonnade Blvd. in San Antonio, TX. The special rate for rooms is $119 per night and the rate is good for three days before and after the conference. Reservations can be made by phone at (800) THE-OMNI rate is good until October 12th.
