1836 Death of Maria Gregoria Isaguirre
Last Names of Nuevo Leon

This is the August 23, 1836 Death of Maria Gregoria Isaguirre who died in Mier, Tamaulipas, Mexico. She is my 5th great grandmother.

Wow, this is the first record that I find that the cause of death was giving birth. It is very sad and I can't help but feel bad for her.

As the record mentions her husband was Jose Emeterio Ramos. Below is the transcription of her death record and on the bottom of the post on the related articles I added a link to Maria Gregoria's baptism record.

Her parents were Jose Manuel Isaguirre and Maria Dorotea Gonzalez.

  1. Yes, it is a very sad thing when a mother dies giving birth. Thank you for bringing this story to us. We grieve with you. I felt the same way when I learned of my maternal 2nd GGM died so young, at 20 years old, leaving my GGM a baby without a mother. Also, thank you for giving the Translation of the death record. It is always a treat to see the translation of a Spanish record.
