1799 Marriage of Jose Antonio Montemayor and Maria Ignacia Silva
Last Names of Nuevo Leon

This is the 1799 marriage of Jose Antonio Montemayor and Maria Ignacia Silva who got married in what is now Santiago, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. They are my 4th great grandparents through my paternal side.

It is unfortunate that their marriage record does not name their parents since I have yet to find out who they are. It's been several years and I have not been able to find them.

The record does indicate that they were related and that a marriage dispensation was done in Monterrey but unfortunately those records have yet to be discovered.

I am a descendant of theirs through their daughter Maria Guadalupe Rodriguez whom married Jose Manuel Marroquin.

  1. Hello Primo.

I am related to Maria Ygnacia Silva, she is also my 4th grandparent on my mother's side trough their daughter Maria Juliana Silva who married Jose Antonio Marroquin Valdez, brother of Jose Manuel Marroquin.
I am as well as you are, searching for the parents of Maria Ygnacia Silva, wandering if you have any updates?.
Have you checked the family search web page and look at the family tree for Maria Ygnacia? they got some parents listed there but I am suspicious about the veracity of the information. (Joaquin de Ana de Leon Silva Salazar and Maria Teresa Saenz Gonzalez as her parents).
    Best Regards,

    Jose Guzman.
