Old Map of Texas
Last Names of Nuevo Leon

In this post, you will find a list of contributions from Cadereyta, Nuevo Leon to
punish the rebel colonists of Texas provided by Miguel Angel Gonzalez.

I have created a small eBook that has a copy of an original document dated June 26th 1836 that Miguel Angel Gonzalez bought from the DRT, (Daughters of the Republic of Texas).

You will also find a transcription of it in English done by the DRT that was provided along with the document. Miguel Angel recognizes the importance that this document has in history of not just Texas but Northeastern Mexico, that he has decided to make it available to everyone.

This document may also provide an additional piece of a larger puzzle that is our own family history.

How Miguel Angel Gonzalez Acquired the Document.

"In late 2011, former Governor Rick Perry with the Texas House Bill 3726, ended the 106-year care of the Alamo by the Daughters of the Republic of Texas (DRT) and established custodianship to the Texas General Land Office. The DRT placed about one hundred early colonial Texas, Mexican, and Republic of Texas rare documents up for auction from the Robert Davis Collection. This is one of the large collection I was able to secure. It is a listing of citizens who voluntarily donated to the war effect in support of the Mexican government which came to be known as the War for Texas Independence. The listing included names and their monetary contribution from the city of Cadereyta, Nueve Leon. I am proud to add this to my own private collection of family documents from the Nuevo Leon and South Texas areas."

I want to thank Miguel Angel Gonzalez for making this document
available to all of us.
