Jose Cristobal Ramirez and Maria Matiana Hinojosa Eight Generations of Descendants
Last Names of Nuevo Leon

This 380-page book contains eight generations of the descendants of Jose Cristobal Ramirez and Maria Matiana Hinojosa. In 1753 they were among the nineteenth founding families of Mier, present-day Ciudad Mier, Tamaulipas. Their descendants thrived and can be found all over Nuevo Leon, Tamaulipas, Texas, and beyond. This book contains genealogical information from the early 1700’s through the late early 1900’s.

Jose Cristobal Ramirez was born February 1, 1712, in Saltillo, Coahuila and baptized February 9, 1712. His father was Antonio Ramirez and Juana Sanchez. In the early 1740’s Jose Cristobal married Maria Matiana Hinojosa who was born about 1718 in Cerralvo. Her parents are Jose Manuel Hinojosa and Maria Ines Chapa whom are also listed among the 1753 founding families of Mier.

Prior to marrying Matiana, Jose Cristobal was married to Maria Antonia Arredondo. They married February 17, 1733 in Saltillo, Coahuila. Her parents are Andres Patricio Arredondo and Felipa Briseño.

Jose Cristobal was buried on August 10, 1778 and Maria Matiana on September 10, 1805 both Revilla/Guerrero Viejo, Tamaulipas.

This book has three sections. On the first section you will find eight generations of descendants for Jose Cristobal and Matiana. The second section contains four generations of ancestors for Jose Cristobal. The third and final section contains four generations of ancestors for Maria Matiana.

Keep in mind, this book as all my others are only tools to help you build your tree. Once you discover a death date, baptism date, and or marriage date get a copy of the original. It is very rewarding to do so and you will learn more details about your ancestors.

Also this book does not include every descendant of theirs since that is impossible, it only includes the ones that I have identified through documents, reliable published, and unpublished works.
