1798 Death Record of Joseph Ramon Guerra
Last Names of Nuevo Leon

This is the June 23, 1798 death record of my 6th great grandfather Joseph Ramon Guerra. Who died in what is nowadays Cerralvo, Nuevo Leon, Mexico.

He must have died a few days before the 23rd since on that day the record states that he was buried. The record also states that he was the widow of Rosalia and that they both were from Mier.

It is also interesting to note that the record states that he left a will. If one still survives it may well be on the municipal archive of Cerralvo for which I have no access to.

From other records we know that his parents are Cristobal Guerra Cañamar and Nicolasa Baez de Trevino. We also know that Rosalia's surname is Hinojosa.

Below is the transcription of the death record.

  1. I have those sir names in my tree, Harding Provencio Otega Sadler, my wife is Sadler. I dropped my Ancestry account after 25 or 30 years, so I can't get in there. I think if you have an Ancestry account you maybe able to check.
