In this post, you will find the 1540 passenger entry for Francisco de Sosa were he was leaving Spain to come to the new world.
Last week I shared with you "Alonso de Sosa Albornoz Conquistador of New Mexico" well today I share with you the passenger entry of his father Francisco de Sosa.
As I was doing research I came across a date that Francisco had left Spain on 4-7-1540 to the New World.
Luckily for me I have the books "Catálogo de Pasajeros a Indias Durante los Siglos XVI, XVII y XVIII". I looked for him and found the entry on Volume 3.

1487.-Francisco de Sosa and Esteban
de Sosa, sons of Esteban de Sosa and
of Ana de Albornoz,- neighbors of Santa
Olalla.-7 April . V-267
I tried to find the original at PARES but could not locate it. If you find it let me know.
From the above entry it is interesting to note that Francisco came with his brother Esteban. It is also indicated that they were form Santa Olalla.
The above may not be much but it reinforces that Esteban de Sosa and Ana de Albornoz are his parents.
