1695 Death Record Juan Bautista Chapa
Last Names of Nuevo Leon

This is the 1695 death record of Juan Bautista Chapa, my 9th great grandfather.  He died on April 20, 1695 in what is now Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. The record states that he was buried in the Cathedral of Monterrey.

He was the scribe of Monterrey for the second half of the 1600s and was also with Alonso de Leon in his expeditions to Texas.

Juan was married to Beatrice Trevino de Olivares. 

The parents of Juan Bautista are Bartholome Schiapapria and Batistina Badi. The parents of his wife Beatrice are Juan Olivares and Juana de Trevino.
