This is the February 27, 1681 death record of Margarita de Montemayor, my 8th great grandmother. According to Tomas Mendirichaga she died in Hacienda de San Juan Bautista.
Her death record states that she was buried in the Parochial church of Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico.
She was the wife of Juan de la Garza Falcon. Her parents were Miguel de Montemayor and Monica Rodriguez.

En veinte y siete de Febrero de mil seiscientos y ochenta y
un Años murio Margarita de Montemyor, con feso y resi
vio Los Sos. Sacramentos de la Eucharistia y extremauncion
en te rrose en La Parrochial de esta ciudad Con missa de cuerpo
presente y vigilia y Le mandaron sus hijas, dezir un novena
rio de missas rresadas en dha Parrochia; y para que conste lo
firme ut supra. =

Indeed, Margarita Montemayor is my 10th Grandmother through her daughter and namesake Margarita, who married into the Santos Coy family. Other families along this line are the del Bosque, Villarreals, Robles de la Fuente and even some families that were Tlaxacalas from Bustamante.

I had not worked my way to Miguel de Montemayor and his daughter yet, but since you provided the link, I went ahead and connected them back to the other ancestors from a different branch. Hi Moises, I am originally from Monterrey, I live in Wyomissing, PA, where I work as a physician I am also a descendant of Margarita Montemayor and Juan de la Garza Falcon, they were ancestors of my paternal grandmother, although there are also Montemayors and Garzas on my mother”s side. Your books look very interesting and I am ready to buy some. I am also very interested in my own genealogy and you seem to be quite an expert on the subject.
