Las Villas del Norte Community Tree
Last Names of Nuevo Leon
In this post, you will learn about Las Villas del Norte Genealogy Database which contains over 1,140,000 names, and how you can access it. It may just be what you were looking for to finding more ancestors. On our last update we added thousands of family groups from Monterrey and in our next one we will add thousands of family groups form Cadereyta.

I know that there are other databases out there with even more names on them but the difference about this one is that this one contains a citation for every name and fact listed on it.

Why is this important? Citations are vital since they help you validate the information and also point you in the right direction as to where to find the original record.

Also, this database is curated by me personally and every day I work towards making it more accurate by correcting data, and by finding and merging duplicates manually. Unlike other places, no one changes information without providing proof first.

The bulk of the people in this database are from South Texas, Tamaulipas, Nuevo Leon, and Coahuila. The further back you go in time you will also find people from Zacatecas, Jalisco, Mexico City, and Spain.

For now, the goal is to create one big database/family tree for South Texas and Northeastern Mexico but plans for the future are to expand slowly to other regions of Mexico and the United States as Las Villas del Norte grows in membership.

How to Access The LVDN Database?

The best way to support our work, help this database grow, and access it is by becoming a member of Las Villas del Norte. Memberships start at $69.95 per year. That's only 11 cents per day!
