This is the March 28, 1846 baptism of my wife's 2nd great grandfather Jose Encarnacion del Refugio Perez who was baptized in General Teran, Nuevo Leon, Mexico.
Even though the record is blurry it is one of my favorite ones. Why? Because it not only mentions the names of his parents but that of his paternal and maternal grandparents.
The parents of Encarnacion are Jose Tomas Perez and Maria Francisca de Allala. His paternal grandparents are Jose Ignacio Peres and Maria Guadalupe Garcia. His maternal grandparents are Andres de Allala and Maria de Jesus Chapa.
The record also indicates that he was four days old when baptized, thus we can conclude that he was born on March 24, 1846.
Below is the transcription of the record.

That document is quite interesting Don Jose. If you have more of General Teran's related documents please do share with me as all my ancestors from both my parents are originally from General Teran. Last names mainly Flores, Cardenas, Alvarez, GarcÃa.
