This is the September 16, 1849 baptism of my 2nd great-grandmother, Maria Francisca Perez, who was baptized in Santiago, Nuevo Leon, Mexico.
Her baptism record indicates that she was three days old at time of her baptism thus placing her birth date as September 13, 1849. The record also states that her godparents are Jose de la Merced Cavazos and Guadalupe Tamez.
She grows up to marry Jose Angel Marroquin and by the 1880 they moved to el Arcabuz, Tamaulipas. Most of the Marroquin form the Mier area are descendants of theirs. Jose Angel is the son of Manuel Marroquin and Guadalupe Rodriguez.

seis de Septiembre de 1849. Bautize solemnemte.
y puse los Santos Oleos y Crismas a Maria Francis-
ca, de tre dias de nacida, hija legitima de Nar-
ziso Perez, y de Juana Tamez, fueron sus Padri-
nos, Jose de al Merced Cabazos, y Ma. Guadalu-
pe Tamez, a quienes adverti su obligacion y paren-
tesco espiritual, y pa. que conste lo firme.
