This is the April 1691, Death Record of Juan de Treviño who was buried in what is now Monterrey Nuevo Leon, Mexico. He is my 9th great-grandfather.
As you can see the image is very damaged and half of it is missing. At first glance one is led to believe that the image is only stained but once you try to read it you notice that it is torn, and half of the record belongs to the next page.
On the above image I marked this with a red line. The following transcription also reflects that.
Even though the image is very damaged and torn we can still make out and or read many of the words.
Thankfully the image tells us that Juan was married to Ana de Maya and the record even mentions that one of the executors for his will is his son Joseph de Trebiño. This made it possible to correctly identify that this is indeed the death record of my ancestor.
From the fragments of this record, I can also make a reliable conclusion that he was buried in the Convent of San Francisco.
From other records we know that Juan is the son of Jospeh de Trevino and Ana Maria Navarro.
As of today I have been able to identify 18,290 descendants for Juan de Treviño and Ana de Amaya. You can see who they are on Las Villas del Norte database here: https://lasvillasdelnorte.com/database/

Jose de Treviño is also my wife's 9th grandfather and my 1C11R.
From the records I have he had six children with Ana Maya and six other with his second wife Nicolas Perez.
