Here you will find two Old Starr County Maps that can be used in your genealogy research. Specially to locate porciones, roads, ranches, and even old towns that may no longer exist.
I came across both of them at The Portal to Texas History.
These two maps show an excellent snapshot in time.

Some of the porciones listed on both maps have the names of my ancestors.

I’m not able to see them yet, by the way did I read in one of your older posts that your wife’s maiden name is Pérez?
Yes, she is a Perez. Her Perez arrived in Starr County around the 1860’s. The were originally from General Teran and El Encadenado, N. L. Mexico. Where are yours from?
Matamoros & Valle Hermoso, Tamaulipas area. I was born in Valler Hermoso back in 1961.
I have traced my ancestors all the way back to around 1852
I am particularly interested in the Ramirez’s from agua de abajo and agua de arriba .I am a,Ramirez my father was born 1920 In Randado Texas. His father was Uvaldo Ramirez born Ciudad Mier his father was Nicanor Ramirez. Would appreciate any information tha is out there on my family. Thank you.
