This is the April 22, 1740 baptism of my 6th Great Grandmother Maria Guadalupe Garcia in Mier, Tamaulipas, Mexico. Yup I finally found it, if you can recall from one of my previous posts “I just Deleted Two Ancestors“. I had problems locating her baptism since the information that I had, had her sisters baptism date instead. That is why it is very important to always find the original record or at least a copy of it. This document indicates that she is a “mestiza” which means that she was the offspring of a Spaniard and an Indian. Now my question is, who is which of both her parents. Her parents are listed as Jospeh Xptoval Garcia Guaxcardo and her mother as Petra Cantu.
